Mill Ridge Farm will keep the fee for veteran stallion
Gone West at $125,000. Gone West, a 22-year-old son of Mr. Prospector out of the Secretariat mare Secrettame, has stood his entire career at the Lexington farm, owned by Alice Chandler and her husband, Dr. John Chandler.
Mill Ridge also announced the fee for Gone West's son,
Johar , has been cut to $15,000 from $20,000. Seven-year-old Johar, who is out of the Lear Fan mare Windsharp, is standing Southern Hemisphere duty at Highview Stud in New Zealand.
In other Mill Ridge news, Mr. Light, who stood at the farm in 2006, has been returned to his native Argentina, where he is standing at San Antonio de Areco in the Buenos Aires region. Mr. Light (Numerous--Luminare, by Forlitano) raced in Argentina before coming to North America, where he set a world record mark of 1:31.41 at Gulfstream Park for a mile.
