Anabaa, sixth on the French sires list, will stand in 2007 at Dr. Tony Ryan's Castleton Lyons near Lexington. Sire of 41 stakes winners, he currently is standing at Widden Stud in Australia.
A French champion sprinter and a group I winner in England, Anabaa has sired Prix du Jockey-Club (Fr-I) winner Anabaa Blue, plus champions Ana Marie (in France), Martillo (in Germany and Italy), Anabar (in Hong Kong), and Yell (in Australia). Another of his French group I winners, Amonita, raced in the U.S., where she was a graded stakes winner at Gulfstream Park.
A 14-year-old son of Danzig out of the Gay Mecene mare Balbonella, Anabaa had been based since his retirement at Alec Head's Haras du Quesnay in France, where his 2006 fee was 45,000 euros (about $56,500).
Anabaa's fee and those for other Castleton Lyons stallions will be announced later.
