Anasheed, a graded stakes-placed son of
A.P. Indy and closely related to A.P. Indy's Horse of the Year son
Mineshaft , will stand in 2007 at Michaelyn Scott's Liberty Stud near Ghent, N.Y., under the management of Questroyal Stud. Six-year-old Anasheed will stand for the same $5,000 fee that he stood for in 2006 at Live Oak Stud near Ocala, Fla.
Anasheed ran second in the 2002 Arlington-Washington Futurity (gr. III) and was a Belmont Park allowance winner the following year. His dam, Flagbird (by Nureyev), a champion in England, Ireland, and Italy, is a half-sister to grade I winners Runup the Colors and Prospectors Delite, who is the dam of Mineshaft.
