Wooden Phone Favored in Oaklawn Handicap

Wooden Phone, who beat Horse of the Year Tiznow in February, faces six challengers in the $600,000 Oaklawn Handicap. The son of Pick Up the Phone is the morning line favorite at 9-5 and will carry 118 pounds. Wooden Phone beat Tiznow in the $500,000 Strub Stakes (gr. II) and is coming into this race off a second-place finish to the 2000 Horse of the Year in the $1 million Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I). His top challengers in the Oaklawn Handicap include Sir Bear, who just won the Gulfstream Park Handicap (gr. I), and Mr Ross and Graeme Hall who finished first and second, respectively, in the Razorback Handicap (gr. III) at Oaklawn Park on March 17. The field is as follows:1. Maysville Slew/Quinonez/113 2.
