Padua Sets 2007 Stallion Fees

Padua Stables in Summerfield, Fla., announced Sunday that stud fees for four of the five Padua stallions will remain the same as in 2006. The fee for Pico Central will be reduced to $7,500 from the 2006 fee of $10,000.

"This year, all of our stallions with runners are among the top three in their siring class, and Exchange Rate   had a breakout season, by siring a grade I winner in his first crop," said Padua general manager Nadia Sanan Briggs. "We have worked hard to situate our stallions so that breeders can be successful if they choose to race or to sell. We felt holding the line on these fees was the right thing to do. Pico Central was well received, and we would like to keep the momentum going for him, so we have made a reduction in his fee."

Delaware Township, $6,500
Exchange Rate  , $10,000
Pico Central, $7,500
Proud Accolade, $5,000
Snow Ridge, $5,000
