The horses referenced in the motions are among those entered in the Fasig-Tipton November select mixed sale Nov. 5.

Lawyers for a trio of plaintiffs who this past July filed a civil action against ClassicStar have asked for temporary restraining orders involving the company's assets and other related items, according to documents on record with the U.S. District Court's Eastern District.

One motion asks for an expedited discovery period and protective order based, in part, on ClassicStar's intention "to liquidate its remaining equine assets at the upcoming Fasig-Tipton sales on Nov. 5, 2006."

In the original complaint, the plaintiffs claim they were bilked out of at least $20 million in ClassicStar programs that touted valuable foals produced from leased mares bred to prominent stallions.
