Older Turf Horses Vie in San Bernardino

From Santa AnitaNot to be overlooked on Santa Anita Derby day will be Tribunal's return in the grade II San Bernardino Handicap for older horses at 1 1/8 miles.
As part of a graded-stakes tripleheader on Derby Day, the San Bernardino has attracted the third and fourth place finishers from the March 3 Big 'Cap in Tribunal, conditioned by Bob Baffert, and the John Dolan-trained Irisheyesareflying.
Bruce Levine will send out east-coast transplant Coyote Lakes in an attempt to knock off the probable favorites. Bred in Arizona, the 7-year-old gelding has won 14 of 49 starts for earnings of $466,937. Coyote Lakes completed preparations with a five-furlong drill Tuesday in 1:00.00.
