Edited press release

HorseRacing TV will bring its viewers international world-class turf racing with live coverage of the $2.5 million Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Fr-I), along with the entire card from Longchamp Race Course in Paris Oct. 1.

HRTV's duo of Jon White and Becky Witzman will anchor the network's morning coverage, which begins at 8:30 a.m. (all times Eastern). The network's coverage will encompass the entire Longchamp card, which also includes three other stakes contests. The Arc has a scheduled post time of 11:30 a.m., and is expected to lure a field of 12 entrants.

Early favoritism for the 1 1/2 mile race has landed with Japanese superstar Deep Impact, whose main foes are expected to be the Andre Fabre-trained pair of Shirocco and Hurricane Run.

A trio of group I stakes races to be shown on HRTV are: the Prix Marcel Broussac (10:05 a.m.), the Grand Criterium (10:45 a.m.), and the Prix du Grand Hotel Barriere (12:15 p.m.).

HRTV will also air two other group I events with important Breeders' Cup implications -- the Prix de l'Abbaye and the Prix de l'Opera.
