Deputy Commander Moving to Ballena Vista

Deputy Commander, the sire of 15 stakes winners, will be relocated to stand in 2007 at Donald and Karen Kohn's Ballena Vista Farm near Ramona, Calif. His fee will be $10,500.
The 12-year-old son of Deputy Minister, the sire of Travers Stakes winners
Ten Most Wanted , was purchased privately by Ballena Vista.
Deputy Commander stood since his retirment from racing at Brereton Jones' Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky. He is out of grade I winner Anka Germania, by Malinowski.
Deputy Commander won four of 13 starts including the 1997 Travers Stakes (gr. I) and Super Derby (gr. I). He earned $1,906,640.
Deputy Commander is the sire of six stakes winners this year, among them Ohio Derby winner Deputy Glitters (gr. II) and Japan group III winner Grab Your Heart.
