Joey Franco, who stood his first two seasons at Harris Farms in California, will stand in Canada in 2007 at Pacific Stud in Langley, British Columbia. His fee will be $3,000.

The 7-year-old son of Avenue of Flags won the seven-furlong Triple Bend Breeders' Cup Invitational Stakes (gr. I) and Del Mar Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II) as a 4-year-old and was also a stakes winner at three.

Out of the Native Prospector mare Susan Powter, he is a half-brother to stakes winner Miss Lawless.

"He's a very handsome and well-made horse." said Pacific Stud stallion manager Roxanne Sargent. "It's exciting to have a grade I winner with his type of speed at middle distances standing in British Columbia; we've already had interest from across Western Canada and Washington."

Pacific Stud will hold an open house Oct. 23, from 2-5 p.m. at Keenebridge Farm in Langley.
