(Edited Tattersalls press release)A complete dispersal of horses owned by Roger Baines' Britton House Stud is scheduled for the Tattersalls December sale in England. There will be 15 lots -- one yearling, five foals, three fillies in and out of training. and six broodmares.The auction runs from Nov. 20 through Dec. 1.Four of the six broodmares are dams of group or listed winners, including Solo de Lune. Among her seven winners are group I winner Cerulean Sky and European champion L'Ancresse. Also scheduled to be sold is grade III winner Mackie, a half-sister to Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Sea Hero. She is the dam of grade II winner Mr Mellon. Sole de Lune is in foal to Montjeu, and Mackie is in foal to Unbridled's Song."Roger Baines has assembled a small but outstanding band of broodmares in recent years and the dispersal from his Britton House Stud will undoubtedly prove to be amongst the highlights of what promises to be a very high quality renewal of the Tattersalls December sale," said Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony. A Gainsborough Stud-bred Indian Ridge colt out a half-sister to Breeders&#8217; Cup Sprint (gr. I) winner Lit de Justice brought 25,000 guineas (about $54,000) to top part four of the Tattersalls October yearling sale.
