(from TOC press release)
Prominent Northern California owners Harry J. Aleo, Robert Bone and Kjell Qvale will join a panel of speakers at the Thoroughbred Owners of California's free seminar, "Ownership 101 – An Introduction to Racehorse Ownership," on Sept. 23 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Golden Gate Fields.

The panel will present an insider's look at what it takes to become a successful racehorse owner, including acquiring a racehorse, choosing a trainer, and costs of ownership. Attendees will then have a chance to meet some of the trainers stabled at Golden Gate Fields and visit their operations first-hand by touring the barn area.

Although it is free and open to the public, reservations are suggested and can be made by calling TOC at (800) 994-9909. Golden Gate Fields is located at 1100 Eastshore Highway, Albany, Calif., 94706.
