Explicit and
Syncline were represented by their first winners Sept. 8.
Explicit's son, Be Explicit, won at 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:04.87 by 4 1/2 lengths at Remington Park as a homebred for Gary Owens. Be Explicit, an Oklahoma-bred, is the fourth winner from as many starters produced from the Alwuhush mare Arion Hills.
A grade II winner, Explicit (
Distant View--Elegant Victress, by Sir Ivor) stands at Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm near Lexington. His 2006 fee was $3,000.
Syncline's initial winner, Tainted Money, won at 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:06.28 at Turfway Park for Brian Rose and Gate Nine. Bred in Kentucky by Barbara Hunter, Tainted Money is the first foal from the
Housebuster mare Lolo Creek.Syncline (Danzig--Annie Edge, by Nebbiolo) also stands at Crestwood. His 2006 fee was $2,500.
