TRN To Broadcast Pay Per View Thoroughbred Racing On Dish Network

Bensalem, PA (March 31, 2001) -- The Racing Network, LLC (TRN) announced that it will air its newly created "TRN Stakes Special," a presentation of premier thoroughbred racing programming on DISH Network's DISH-On-Demand pay-per-view service on April 7- 8, and 14, 2001. Each day will offer viewers live, full-card racing coverage from tracks including Santa Anita, Oaklawn Park, Hialeah, Sportsman's Park, and Bay Meadows. Included in the coverage will be major stakes racing action including the Santa Anita Derby, Illinois Derby, Oaklawn Handicap, Flamingo Stakes, The San Juan Capistrano, The California Derby and much more! There will be over 50 races offered each day with interviews and expert commentary provided by nationally known racing color commentators such as Kimber Goodwin and Dave Gutfreund. Santa Anita will also be offering a guaranteed $1 million Pick Six pool on April 7 as part of the coverage.

Programming will begin at 12:30 p.m. ET and run through 7:00 p.m. ET. The TRN Stakes Specials will appear on DISH Network channels 457 and 537 on April 7 and April 14 as well as channel 458 on April 8. The cost for each day will be just $6.95 and can be ordered instantly via the remote control or by calling 1-877-363-EVNT (3868).
