(from Delaware Park report)
Due to the heavy rains forecasted for the Delaware Valley this weekend, Delaware Park has rescheduled the $500,000 Kent Breeders' Cup (gr. IIIT) for Sept. 9.

The original field of 14, headlined by the unbeaten After Market, will remain the same and the race will not be redrawn, officials said. The 1 1/8-mile on the grass for 3-year-olds originally was to be run this Saturday.

Saturday's program will feature nine races instead of 10.

The Sept. 9 "Owners Day" card will commence with a noon first race post time and feature fourteen races, including four stakes highlighted by the Kent. The other stake races scheduled for Owners Day are the $200,000 Endine Stakes (gr. III) for fillies and mares at six furlongs, the $100,000 George Rosenberger Memorial at 1 1/16 miles on the grass for fillies and mares, and the $100,000 Delaware Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association Owners Day Handicap at 1 1/8 miles.
