Godolphin Stable's Discreet Cat remained undefeated in four starts Friday when he rolled to an impressive victory in the third race at Saratoga.

Ridden by Garrett Gomez in the seven-furlong, optional claiming event, Discreet Cat broke alertly before settling in near the back of the six-horse field that consisted of more seasoned older horses. The 3-year-old Forestry   colt began to roll on the outside rounding the turn and drew off to win by more than a dozen lengths as the prohibitive favorite.

With track announcer Tom Durkin intoning "there is absolutely no competition" for Discreet Cat in the race, the colt completed the seven furlongs in 1:21 2/5. Accountingforthegold finished second, followed by Dark Cheetah. Discreet Cat paid $2.80, $2.80, and $2.10.

Trained by Saeed bin Suroor and handled at Saratoga by assistant Rick Mettee, Discreet Cat was making his first start since his six-length triumph in the UAE Derby (gr. I) at Nad al Sheba on March 25. He has now won all four career starts.

Mettee said the colt will be pointed toward the Jerome Breeder's Cup Handicap (gr. II), a $150,000 stakes at Belmont Park on Oct. 1 for his next start.
