Dutch Art maintained his unbeaten record with a polished win in the Darley Prix Morny (Fr-I) at Deauville on Sunday.

The Peter Chapple-Hyam trainee was coming off a victory in the Norfolk Stakes (Eng-II) at Royal Ascot in his last start.

Dutch Art hit the front with one furlong left in the six-furlong contest, and won easily under Christophe Soumillon. Soumillon was substituting for the colt's regular rider, Alan Munro.

Magic America, a daughter of High Yield owned by Tony Ryan and trained by Criquette Head-Maarek, got up in the final strides to nip Excellent Art by a head for second.

Dutch Art is a chestnut colt by Medicean out of Halland Park Lass, by Spectrum.

Pre-race favorite Holy Roman Emperor was scratched due to the heavy course conditions.
