Lido Palace Colt, Out of Place Filly Top Fasig-Tipton New York Sale

A filly sired by Out of Place and a Lido Palace colt each brought high bids of $40,000 to top Tuesday's inaugural open yearling sale conducted by Fasig-Tipton at the Humphrey S. Finney sales pavilion in Saratoga Springs, N. Y.
Fasig-Tipton reported 70 horses sold for $680,500, an average of $9,721. There were 63 horses listed as not sold.
Consigned by Rhapsody Farm "Bloodstock" LLC, the
Out of Place filly was bought by Patrick Everard. She was produced from the Mane Minister mare Miss Millennium, a half-sister to stakes winner U So Bad.
The
Lido Palace colt, consigned by McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, was purchased by Joseph Aquilino, agent. The colt was produced from grade III winner Valor Lady.
