Jockey Carlos Gonzalez won his 2,000th race on Friday when he guided Del Norte to victory in the ninth race at Louisiana Downs.Gonzalez, 41, rallied the 6-year-old gelding while three wide coming in the lane to win by a head in the seven-furlong claiming race.A native of Puerto Rico, Gonzalez has been riding in North America since 1986.
