Michigan Horseman Miller Dies at Age 76 The Lions drafted Mr. Miller in the fifth round out of the University of Virginia in 1952. He played seven seasons in Detroit and was on NFL championship teams in 1952, '53 and '57. He retired after the 1958 season.Miller, who wife his wife, Delphine, raced under the DelRob Stables name, was president of the Michigan Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association. The Millers had 870 winners out of 4,790 starts, including 59 stakes winners. Among the top horses campaigned by the Millers were Monetary Gift, who sired many of their stakes horses, as well as That Gift, A giftfrom Bertie, and That Monetary. |
