Sis City has been retired.
Grade I winner Sis City has been retired from racing for broodmare purposes at Robert and Janice McNair's Stonerside Stable near Paris, Ky.

Trained by Richard Dutrow Jr., Sis City scored her greatest win for the partnership of Stonerside, Sanford Goldfarb, Joe Torre, Michael Dubb, and Ira Davis in the 2005 Ashland Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland, winning by 10 1/2 lengths. During her career, she also captured that year's Davona Dale Stakes (gr. II) and the previous year's Demoiselle (gr. II) and Mongo Queen Stakes.

Sis City began her racing career for her breeder, Heiligbrodt Racing Stable. She was claimed at Saratoga in her third start for $50,000 by Dutrow and proved a bargain by winning the Mongo Queen by 16 lengths about six weeks later. In her next start, she ran third in the Frizette Stakes (gr. I).

Four-year-old Sis City (Slew City Slew--Smart Sis, by Beau Genius) retired with five wins from 15 starts and earnings of $795,764. Breeding plans are undecided.
