Edited press release
The Blue Grass Farms Chaplaincy Ladies Guild and the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation announced that Anita Madden will serve as honorary chairperson at the groups' fundraiser to be held Oct. 9 at the Lexington Marriott Griffin Gate.

Madden, along with other representatives of the Thoroughbred community and local celebrities, will participate in "Nags, Bags, and Rags," a fashion show, silent auction, and luncheon. Hall of Fame jockeys Pat Day and Chris McCarron are also expected to attend. Proceeds will benefit farm workers served by the BGFC and retired racehorses in the care of the TRF Maker's Mark Secretariat Center.

Chairperson Mary Lee-Butte of the BGFC Ladies Guild expressed appreciation for early support of the innovative event. "The Ladies Guild is honored that Ms. Madden is so willing to share her time and embrace our cause," she said.
