Fundraiser Planned for ReRun, MAHR

Edited press release An Aug. 18, 2006, fundraising event is planned to benefit two nonprofit adoption and rescue organizations, ReRun and the Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue.
The gala will be held at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Oceanport, N.J. Cocktails will be on the oceanfront patio, followed by a full-course gourmet dinner.
Dr. Patricia Hogan, a surgeon at the New Jersey Equine Clinic, will speak on "Saving Famous Racehorses" such as Smarty Jones and Afleet Alex. Hogan will also discuss her work with the less than famous ex-racehorses that will benefit from the fundraiser. After the program concludes, dancing is a short walk on the boardwalk.
Jockey Joe Bravo will be attending as well as owners, breeders, trainers, veterinarians, equestrians, racing fans, and others who support horse adoption and rescue programs.
