Only Three Challengers for Champion Sprinter

Champion Kona Gold has been assigend 126 pounds for the Potrero Grande at Santa Anita.
Eclipse Award-winning sprinter Kona Gold will face only three challengers when he carries top weight of 126 pounds in Sunday's grade II Potrero Grande Breeders' Cup Handicap at 6 1/2 furlongs.
The Java Gold gelding, who carried 125 pounds to win the March 4 San Carlos Handicap, will be spotting the field from 11 to 16 pounds as he seeks his sixth consecutive victory.
Trainer Paco Gonzalez will send out Hollycombe, a lightly-raced 7-year-old Kentucky-bred by Capote, to face Kona Gold. Hollycombe gets into the Portrero Grande with 114 pounds.
The field for the grade II race, in post position order, with riders and weights:
1--Hollycombe, Chris McCarron, 114
2--Kona Gold, Alex Solis, 126
3--Explicit, Kent Desormeaux, 113
4--Romanzo, Laffit Pincay Jr., 110
