Lost in the Fog's traveling-companion this year, Harry Aleo's 3-year-old Victorina, brings solid credentials of her own to the Summit of Speed. She's one of the favorites among eight 3-year-old fillies set for the $300,000 Azalea Breeders' Cup (gr. III) at six furlongs.
Victorina is a Florida-bred daughter of
Delaware Township purchased for $160,000 at the OBS April 2-year-old sales and has posted a solid record of four wins, two seconds and a third in her seven career starts. She flew with Lost in the Fog to Kentucky for her last start for trainer Greg Gilchrist and ran a solid third, beaten only a length in the Dogwood Breeders' Cup (gr. III) on June 3, the day her stablemate won the Aristides (gr. III).
Carl Pollard's Morner appears to be in top form for trainer Dale Romans after a pair of impressive allowance victories at Churchill Downs. The daughter of
Broken Vow was a $135,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase and earned a check in three stakes races at Oaklawn Park and Churchill earlier this season.
