Filly Asaawir Tops Day 2 at Tattersalls July

Listed-placed 3-year-old filly Asaawir (GB), by Royal Applause (GB), topped day two of Tattersalls' July Sale in Newmarket July 12 when bought for 170,000gns by local agent Richard Frisby for the Ptarmigan Bloodstock investment partnership.
The filly, trained by Mick Channon, will not run again but will be covered and resold at a later date.
An unraced 2-year-old Monsun (Ger) filly consigned from Mark Wallace's Sefton Lodge Stables made 100,000gns when bought by Rudiger Alles of the German International agency.
She was purchased for Manfred Hellwig's Gestut Hony-Hof.
Three-year-old colt Yellow Flag (GB) (Halling) also made 100,000gns when bought by Tattersalls representative Andrew Maxwell on behalf of Timmy Hyde, who frequently purchases for top jump owner J P McManus.
The sales continues Thursday with a session starting at 9.30 a.m.
