Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 180 yearlings for its Saratoga select yearling sale, which is scheduled for Aug. 8 and 9 in New York. The number is a 17.6% increase from last year's total of 153.
During the 2005 edition of the auction, the average price and median price grew while the sale produced its highest-priced horse, a $3.1-million Storm Cat -- Rings a Chime colt (now named Black Cat Crossing), since 2001.
