Sakhee, a European group I winner who ran second in the 2001 Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), was represented by his first winner when his son, Shujoon, won June 28 at first asking at Compeigne in France. Bred in Great Britain, the colt won the seven-furlong race in 1:25.73 for Hamad Mohammed Suhail. He is the first foal from the German stakes-placed Barathea mare Marie de Blois.
Sakhee (Bahri--Thawakib, by Sadler's Wells) stands at Sheikh Hamdan's Nunnery Stud in England.
