Grade I Winner Mizzen Mast Sires First Winner

Grade I winner Mizzen Mast   came through with his initial winner when his son, Tropical Light, won at first asking June 24 at Fukushima in Japan.

Bred in Kentucky by James M. Herbener Jr., Tropical Light won at five furlongs in :59.70 for Hiroyoshi Usuda. A half-brother to Japanese millionaire Ekolu Place, he is out of the stakes-placed Secreto mare Tropico Cielo.

Mizzen Mast (Cozzene--Kinema, by Graustark) stands for $15,000 at Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms near Lexington. His grade I win came in the Malibu Stakes.
