Crafty Prospector, who underwent colic surgery June 13 at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital near Lexington, was returned June 19 to Fred Seitz' Brookdale Farm near Versailles, Ky.
"He is doing very well now, looks good, and we're happy he's home," Seitz said."
A 27-year-old son of Mr. Prospector, Crafty Prospector covered about 35 mares this year.
No decision has been reached about his future at stud. "We will just have a good sit down during the winter and see how he is," Seitz said.
