Auction Items Roll In for Cindy Murphy Benefit

Silent auction items to benefit retired jockey Cindy (Noll) Murphy have been flooding the Prairie Meadows Chaplaincy this week.
Murphy injured her neck in a riding accident on May 11, 2006 and announced her retirement on June 9.
The silent auction will be held at 11 a.m. on June 16 at the track kitchen located in the backside administration building at Prairie Meadows.
As of June 14, the auction items received include stallion breeding services; framed and autographed racing memorabilia; wagering voucher; DVD/VCR combo; logo apparel; lodging and dining certificate; miscellaneous gift certificates for goods and services; and monetary donations.
The list of contributors includes, among others, donations from Prairie Meadows in addition to Arlington Park, Beulah Park, Hoosier Park, Keeneland, Mountaineer Park, Oaklawn Park, Remington Park, NTRA, the Daily Racing Form, The Breeders' Cup, Limited, Iowa HBPA, Altoona, Iowa business merchants, and private donations.
