Lucky J.H., victorious over California-breds in his last start on April 30 in the 7 1/2-furlong Tiznow Stakes at Hollywood Park, will try the same distance against open company in the $100,000 Ack Ack Handicap (gr. III) on Saturday.

Patrick Valenzuela will replace Victor Espinoza, who will be in New York that day, for trainer Carla Gaines. Lucky J.H., a 4-year-old colt owned and bred by Harris Farms, has won four of ten starts and earned $270,435. He was assigned 117 pounds and breaks from the rail.

Eight are entered in the Ack Ack.

Grade I winner Captain Squire, making his first start since a fourth-place finish at Nad Al Sheba in the $2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen (UAE-I) March 25, shoulders top weight of 119 pounds. Captain Squire captured the six-furlong Ancient Title Breeders' Cup (gr. I) in October.
