American jockey David Flores rode Godolphin Racing's Festival of Light to victory in the Godolphin Mile and American runner Caller One ran off with the Golden Shaheen (UAE-III) as part of Saturday's Dubai World Cup undercard. Flores, who later won the UAE Derby with Express Tour, said Festival of Light bobbled slightly at the start before recovering to take the lead in the stretch.

Finishing second in the Godolphin Mile was Godolphin's Curule, ridden by Jerry Bailey, with Conflict third.

Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said the winner will return to the U.S. to compete a distances of six furlongs to 1 mile.

In the six-furlong straight Golden Shaheen, Caller One took the early lead and never looked back, with Southern California-based Men's Exclusive finishing third, followed by Godolphin's Bertolini. Corey Nakatani rode the winner, a son of Phone Trick trained by James K. Chapman for owners Carolyn Chapman and Theresa McArthur. The victory was the eighth in 13 starts for Caller One.
