The Pick Six paid a Hollywood Park record $1,540,401 Friday night to one winning ticket following a two-day carryover.

There were three live tickets entering the night's eighth and final race. Investingold, the 7-1 third choice in the field of 12 and one of three horses covered, scored a front-running victory, denying players another shot at the huge payoff. The Pick Six pool totaled $1,826,675.

The previous highest Pick Six payoff was $1,312,808 on May 19, 2004. There were two winning tickets as the pool was a Hollywood Park-record $4,161,483.

Most Pick Six players were aiming for five winners following a victory by longshot Getnhotnhere ($82.40) in Friday night's first leg. The other winners were Unusually Chic ($11.80), Bullet Train ($5.40), Unbeatable East ($21.60), Santa Fe ($21.40), and Investingold ($17).

In the featured seventh race, Irish-bred Sante Fe rallied in the stretch under jockey Michael Baze to win the $51,000 allowance test by a nose over Miracle Maker.

Sante Fe, trained by Matt Chew, won for the first time in three North American starts, paying $21.40, $7.80, and $3. Miracle Maker returned $4.80 and $2.80, while the show payoff on even-money favorite Mr. Wolverine was $2.40.
