Champion Johannesburg's First Winner

International champion Johannesburg was represented by his first winner when his son, Johannesburg Jack, won May 31 at Brighton in England. Bred in Ireland by Pier House Stud, Johannesburg Jack won at five furlongs in 1:09.78 under 129 pounds. He is out of the Red Ransom mare out of Egypt.

A champion 2-year-old in England, Ireland, France, and North America, Johannesburg (Hennessy--Myth, by Ogygian) stands for $25,000 at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky.
