Wissie Brede Dies May 28

Ann "Wissie" Brede, a Thoroughbred owner and breeder and expert horse show judge, died May 28 of complications from ovarian cancer. She was recognized as the 2006 Pennsylvania Horse Woman of the Year.
Brede and her husband, Thom, moved their horse operation from Pennsylvania to Kentucky. They owned and operated Audley End Farm near Stamping Ground, Ky.
Brede judged horse shows for more than 40 years and was a recognized judge with the USA Federation. She judged and showed in all major shows in the United States and Canada. Her husband is also a recognized show judge.
Besides her husband, her survivors include a daughter, Jessica Carolin, Maryland, and two grandchildren, Tom Carolin and Katie Fidler.
Friends are welcome at Audley End Farm, 398 East Honaker Rd., Stamping Ground, from 6-8 p.m. June 3, 2006.
