Team Valor Stable's favored Unbridled Belle won a hard fought head victory over Amandatude in the $100,600 Go For Wand Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Delaware Park Saturday.

Ridden by Ramon Dominguez, the daughter of Broken Vow   closed from between horses in the stretch to battle with Amandatude, with Stewart Elliott astride, in the final stages. It was another 3 ¾ lengths further back to Diamond Spirit, with Jean-Luc Samyn, in third.

Unbridled Belle covered the 1 1/16 miles over a fast track in 1:43.58 and returned $5, $3 and $2.40 as the 3-2 favorite in the field of seven. The Kentucky-bred trained by Todd Pletcher raised her career record to three wins, a second, and a third from six starts with earnings of $108,840.

The Go For Wand Stakes is the first of two local preps for the $500,000 Grade II Delaware Oaks at 1 1/16 miles to be run on July 15. The next local prep is the $175,000 Susan's Girl Breeders Cup to be run on June 17.
