Laverock withstood the late charge of Manduro to land the Prix d'Ispahan (Fr-I) by a short neck on Sunday at Longchamp.
The 4-year-old colt, owned by Gainsborough Stud and trained by Carlos Laffon-Parias, took the lead within the final furlong from his stablemate, Krataois. Jockey David Bonilla kept pushing his mount, in order to hold off the late charge of Manduro. Krataois held on for third.
Race favorite, Corre Caminos, who had won the Prix Ganay (Fr-I) in his last start, finished a non-threatening fifth.
