Tale of the Cat, Distorted Humor Progeny Work Well for Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale

Songandaprayer were among the standouts at Timonium during the under tack shows Wednesday and Thursday for the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic preferred sale of 2-year-olds in training.
Six horses tied for the fastest work at an eighth of a mile, covering the distance in :10 1/5. They included a Distorted Humor -- Cat's Image colt named Distorted Image, consigned by Scanlon Training Center, agent; a
Lemon Drop Kid -- Coronation Cup colt, consigned by Webb Carroll, agent; and a
Deputy Commander -- Draconienne colt, also consigned by Carroll as agent. The others were a Clever Trick -- Just Like Katie filly, consigned by O & H Bloodstock; a Songandaprayer -- Wild and Willing colt, consigned by True South, agent; and a Gibson County -- Winter Cat colt named Game Cat, consigned by McKathan Farms, agent.
Three juveniles shared the honor for the quickest quarter-mile work, each turning in a time of :21 2/5. They were a Tale of the Cat -- Affirm Promise filly; a
Pine Bluff -- Pen'n Pad colt; and a
Dixieland Band -- Two Step Trudy filly, all consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent.

Thunderello -- Jilly filly turned in the fastest work at three furlongs on Wednesday, stopping the clock in :34 2/5. Her consignor is Leprechaun Racing, agent.
A
Johannesburg -- Natkeeta filly was the quickest at three furlongs on Thursday with time of :33 4/5. Her consignor is True South, agent.
The Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, with each session beginning at 11 a.m. (EDT). More than 650 horses are catalogued for the auction.
