A regular contributor to HRTV, Siegel has been a fixture on television in California for years at Santa Anita Park. He is also co-founder of Team Valor, a racing stable whose syndicated runners have won major races including the Breeders' Cup Turf, Arlington Million, Santa Anita Handicap and Dubai Duty Free.

He has been a handicapper since 1978.
