Logiciel, dam of millionaire Talloires, was euthanized May 13 because of complications from foaling a Johar   colt three weeks earlier. The 23-year-old daughter of Known Fact was kept at Machmer Hall near Paris, Ky. The colt is on a nurse mare.

Logiciel, who is out of the Le Haar mare Femina, produced 15 named foals, nine of which were winners. Talloires, a son of Trempolino, raced in North America, Europe, and Brazil, and earned $1,423,949. He scored his big win in the 1996 Caesars Palace Turf Championship Handicap (gr. IIT) in course-record time of 2:23.55 for 1 1/2 miles at Hollywood Park.

Another of Logiciel's sons, Red Duster, topped the 2005 Tattersalls 2-
year-olds in training sale at Newmarket, England, selling for 270,000 guineas ($511,218). The son of Red Ransom has won both starts this year in Dubai.

Logiciel, who was bred in Great Britain by Marystead Farm, arrived in North America in 1986 following a French racing career in which she won four of 11 races and was stakes-placed.
