Millionaire Seeking the Pearl, the first Japanese-trained runner to win a race in Europe, produced her first foal, a Storm Cat colt, on March 1 for Richard Santulli and George Prussian's Jayeff B Stables. Seeking the Pearl (Seeking the Gold -- Page Proof, by Seattle Slew) was bought privately by Jayeff B in the summer of 1999. The 7-year-old mare is boarded at the Hancock family's Claiborne Farm and is booked to Storm Cat.

Seeking the Pearl's European victory came in the 1998 Prix Maurice de Gheest (Fr-I). She was a champion in that country and a grade I winner in Japan. Her career earnings were $4,021,716.
