Grade II Winner Pure Prize Sires First Winner

Grade II winner Pure Prize   came up with his first winner when his daughter, Cowgirls Don't Cry, won April 28 at Keeneland in her second start. Bred by Justice Farm and Greg and Steve Justice, Cowgirls Don't Cry ran the 4 1/2 furlongs in :53.82 to win by 1 3/4 lengths for Robert T. Cunningham.

Cowgirls Don't Cry is the seventh winner from as many foals produced from Empathic Style and four of the seven are $100,000-plus earners, including two stakes-placed runners.

Pure Prize (Storm Cat--Heavenly Prize, by Seeking the Gold) stands for $7,500 at Dr. Tom Simon's Vinery near Lexington.
