With jockey Aaron Gryder aboard, Amerman Racing Stables homebred Sacred Light worked seven furlongs in 1:28 at Hollywood Park Wednesday as the 3-year-old colt continued to make progress toward a start in the May 6 Kentucky Derby presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I).

"Her went really well," said trainer David Hofmans. "He seemed like he was doing it easily. I was actually hoping he would to a little bit slower but he seemed like he was pulling him (Gryder) right along."

A Kentucky-bred son of Holy Bull   who has won one of six career starts, Sacred Light finished second in the Santa Catalina (gr. II) and third in the Sham Stakes. He is scheduled to ship to Churchill Downs Saturday.
