Racing was canceled six minutes before the start of Sunday's fourth race at Aqueduct because of weather and track conditions. At Woodbine, racing was canceled after six races due to poor track conditions.
Both tracks remained open for simulcast wagering.
Rain began Saturday in New York and continued steadily overnight and into Sunday.
The two, $100,000 divisions of the New York Stallion Stakes – the Park Avenue for 3-year-old fillies and the Time Square Division for sophomore colts and geldings – will be run next April 30, closing day of Aqueduct's spring meet. The other races scheduled for this afternoon will be used as extra races during the coming week.
Racing is to resume at Aqueduct on April 26.
Woodbine's Sunday stakes, the Star Shoot Stakes for 3-year-old fillies, which was one of four races canceled, will be rescheduled for April 30.
The next live Thoroughbred racing program at Woodbine is set for April 28.
