Mickey Solomon, who worked as Daily Racing Form's head clocker at Churchill Downs and Keeneland for 30 years, died Monday at a Louisville hospital after a lengthy illness. The Detroit native, a Korean War Army veteran, was 75.

Solomon was employed by the Form from 1968-97. He worked primarily in Kentucky, but also at Oaklawn Park and Gulfstream Park.

His survivors include his wife, Myra, a long time mutuel clerk at Churchill, and a daughter, Cheryl. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway in Louisville.
