The first starter for freshman sire
Came Home came home a winner at Keeneland Thursday when J. Fred Miller III's homebred Beautiful Venture won the third race by three lengths, getting the 4 ½ furlongs in :54 4/5. Ridden by Mark Guidry for trainer Barbara Beagle, the 2-year-old filly was never far behind pacesetter Joangel before taking the lead with a furlong remaining.
