Champion Personal Ensign Delivers Forest Wildcat Colt

Champion Personal Ensign (Private Account-Grecian Banner) delivered a colt by Forest Wildcat April 2 at Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky.

The chestnut colt was bred by the Phipps Stable and is Personal Ensign's 11th foal.

Now 22 years old, Personal Ensign retired undefeated as the 1988 champion older mare and was also the Broodmare of the Year in 1996. She is the dam of grade I winners Miner's Mark (by Mr. Prospector), My Flag (by Easy Goer), and Traditionally (by Mr. Prospector).

My Flag is the dam of 2002 champion 2-year-old filly Storm Flag Flying (by Storm Cat). Personal Ensign's grade I-placed son, Our Emblem, is the sire of 2002 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner War Emblem.

Breeding plans for Personal Ensign are undecided.
