Davant Latham, the director of bloodstock for Darby Dan Farm, has left to open Davant Latham Bloodstock and Insurance. Latham had been at Darby Dan near Lexington for three years.
"I have enjoyed my time with Darby Dan and am proud of our accomplishments over the last few years. John Phillips and Wayne Sweezy are good friends and we plan to continue our business relationship," Latham said.
Latham's previous positions include general manager of Vinery, Kirk Horse Insurance associate, and independent bloodstock agent.
"Opening Davant Latham Bloodstock and Insurance will allow me to focus on my bloodstock and insurance work, particularly in the development of commercial partnerships. I look forward to continuing old relationships and building new relationships as well."
Latham will serve as the president of the Kentucky Farm Managers Club in 2007 and is a past president and current board member of the High Hope Steeplechase.
