Todd Pletcher needs Peachtree Stable's High Cotton, likely favorite in the $100,000 Rushaway for 3-year-olds, to regain his juvenile form Saturday at Turfway Park on the Lane's End undercard. An overflow field of 13 was entered in the 1 1/16-mile event. Twelve will start. The Pletcher-trained High Cotton was twice runner-up in important stakes for 2-year-olds, the Iroquois Stakes (gr. III) and Kentucky Cup Jockey Club (gr. II). But in his first start at 3, he stumbled at the start and then was eased. Pletcher also found that the horse had bled, but High Cotton since has trained well since. Jockey Chris DeCarlo will ride.In A Flash (Ire) was second in his first American start, which came at Turfway Park. In his next race, also at Turfway, the Patrick Biancone trainee defeated older horses in a gritty gate-to-wire effort. In A Flash will run with Lasix for the first time Saturday.
